Long ago in ancient Rome there was an Emperor who loved a good joke. This royal prankster would be known to have dinner parties and when one of his high ranking officers would sit down he would sit directly on top of a whoopie cushion that the Emperor had placed in the seat. Once the fart noise happened everyone would laugh and giggle. Since those early, ancient days the whoopie cushsion hasn't gone out of style and is still used to make people laugh to this day.
